Azerbaijani, Ukrainian FMs meet in New York
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov held a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Pavlo Klimkin as part of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told on Sept.30.
During the meeting the ministers exchanged views on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict and the situation in Ukraine.

Minister Mammadyarov, informing his Ukrainian counterpart about the negotiation process on the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, noted that the conflict should be resolved on the basis of respect for the norms and principles of international law, as well as the internationally recognized borders, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.

The FM said the cooperation within GUAM plays an important role for the development of relations between regional countries, noting the existence of broad opportunities for cooperation in economic and humanitarian in economic and humanitarian spheres.

Mammadyarov invited his Ukrainian counterpart to visit Azerbaijan, and the Ukrainian minister welcomed the invitation.
