Azerbaijani army serviceman injured in landmine explosion

Azerbaijani army serviceman injured in landmine explosion

On December 20, around 12:00, Azerbaijan Army serviceman, Salmanov Ziyad Ilgar was injured falling on anti-personnel mine while performing service and combat tasks in the direction of the Sadarak region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on the Azerbaijani-Armenian conditional border.

After receiving first medical aid, the wounded serviceman was immediately evacuated to a military medical facility, AzVision.az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.

His life is not in danger.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
