Azerbaijan and Serbia will expand bilateral cooperation in areas such as energy security, renewable energy sources (RES), education, science, culture and tourism, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric in Belgrade, AzVision.az reports.

He noted that the parties are constantly working towards expanding trade and economic cooperation, regularly holding meetings within the intergovernmental commission (IGC) on trade and economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia: "Energy security, renewable energy sources, education, science, culture, tourism - these are the areas of bilateral cooperation that we will expand."

Bayramov emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia are characterized by high dynamics of high-level mutual visits, expanding inter-parliamentary ties, interaction within international organizations, promising economic cooperation, as well as cultural and humanitarian exchanges: "High-level mutual visits play an important role in developing bilateral relations. We provide mutual support within international organizations. Hosting COP29 in Azerbaijan has created new opportunities for cooperation in climate diplomacy. We are confident that EXPO-2027, which will be held in Serbia, will also contribute to developing partnership between our peoples."
