Elmar Mammadyarov said that the strong condemnation by the OIC of Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan and its stance of supporting a solution to the conflict within the international recognized borders and sovereignty of Azerbaijan are highly appreciated.
The minister expressed concern over increasing cases of islamophobia, noting that joint fight is needed against it. Elmar Mammadyarov also said that the Muslim populations in the Middle East have become refugees in the wake of regional conflicts, stressing that they need attention to their problems.
