Kazakhstan sets up governmental commission to investigate passenger plane crash in Aktau

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov has decreed the establishment of a governmental commission to investigate the cause of the Azerbaijan Airlines' Embraer 190 plane crash, which occurred today near the city of Aktau, Mangistau region, Kazinform News Agency reported.

The commission includes the governor of Mangistau region, the chief transport prosecutor, top officials from the Ministry of Emergencies, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, and the Ministry of Healthcare.

The commission was tasked to ensure all-round investigation into the plane crash, and take measures to provide urgent support to the families of victims and those injured.
