 Azerbaijan praises Georgia

Azerbaijan highly appreciates Georgia's contribution to fighting global climate change, Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov said at the opening of the 10th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan in Baku.

He thanked the head of the Georgian government for active participation in the COP29 conference, AzVision.az reports.

"We highly appreciate Georgia's contribution to fighting global climate change. Today we are holding the 10th anniversary meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. I am confident that our discussions, decisions and protocols, as well as bilateral documents will serve to further develop relations between our countries," said Asadov.

He emphasized that as part of Irakli Kobakhidze's visit, there are also plans to inspect the land plot allocated for the new building of the Georgian Embassy in Baku.

"This land plot was allocated by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The territory is located in the center of Baku, in one of the most beautiful places of the city," said Asadov.
