The announcement was made by Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission, during a press conference held on Tuesday, AzVision.az reports.
He noted that All necessary arrangements have been made to ensure that 5.9 million voters can cast their ballots at 5,846 polling stations during Azerbaijan's municipal election.
Panahov highlighted that a total of 5,734 polling stations will be permanent, while 112 will be temporary.
"Temporary polling stations are set up in accordance with the Election Code requirements. A total of 86,185 voters will cast their votes at these temporary stations," Panahov explained.
To note, the municipal election in Azerbaijan will take place on January 29.
