No violations recorded during municipal election - Azerbaijani Ombudsperson

No violations were recorded during the municipal election, Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsperson) of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva said, AzVision.az reports.

It is noted that the observation of the election was carried out at polling stations created throughout the country, and all the necessary conditions stipulated by law were available at the organized polling stations for the implementation of citizens' suffrage.

It was emphasized that observations were also carried out at polling stations organized in the Training and Educational Center of the Azerbaijani Army and 16 penitentiary institutions.

It was also noted that during the observations, Sabina Aliyeva met with members of precinct election commissions, observers and voters, and asked their opinions regarding the voting process. It was emphasized that no cases of violation of the law, interference by any state bodies, including representatives of the executive branch and police officers, were recorded.

Sabina Aliyeva emphasized that the electoral right, which is a fundamental right of citizens, was ensured in the municipal election in accordance with the law.
