  Azerbaijan helps to rebuild shelter at Ukraine

The shelter of the National Library of Ukraine for Children in Kiev has been reconstructed with the support of the Azerbaijani government, AzVision.az reports. 

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kyiv City Hall, the Kyiv City Military Administration, MPs of the Verkhovna Rada, over 20 ambassadors, diplomats, cultural figures and local media representatives.

Addressing the event, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine Seymur Mardaliyev noted that the shelter was fully reconstructed with the support of the Azerbaijani government.

"Today`s event is part of the Azerbaijani government`s humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. Over the past three years, the volume of humanitarian assistance provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine has exceeded $40 million. During this period, more than 200 Ukrainian children deprived of parental care have undergone full medical and psychological rehabilitation in Azerbaijan," the ambassador noted.

Anastasia Bondar, Deputy Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, expressed her gratitude to the Azerbaijani government for its support.

Alla Gordienko, Director of the Library, emphasized that such events contribute to the development of cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
