BIG published a message of solidarity in connection with the powerful cyclone Garance that hit the island the previous day, AzVision.az informs, citing Report news agency.
"Cyclone Garance has caused severe devastation on Reunion Island, leaving thousands of people without electricity and clean water, destroying homes and infrastructure and flooding streets. Residents of the island are in a difficult situation. There have already been three deaths.
In these difficult times, our thoughts are first and foremost with the victims and their loved ones. Courage to all!", the message reads.
The authorities of the island of Reunion earlier announced a red warning because of the cyclone Garance. And because of the situation, the population remains in isolation, except for law enforcement and rescue services.
