The Combined Arms Army has hosted the first-ever graduation ceremony for the Commando Initial Course, the Ministry of Defense reported.
The event began with a moment of silence to honor National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Shehids who gave their lives for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity. This was followed by the performance of Azerbaijan’s National Anthem.
Graduates who successfully completed the training officially took the Commando Oath, marking the start of their service as commandos.
Major General Kanan Seyidov, Commander of the Combined Arms Army, congratulated the graduates and conveyed the best wishes from the Defense Ministry’s leadership. He emphasized the importance of such specialized training in enhancing the professionalism of military personnel and boosting combat readiness within the Azerbaijan Army.
During the ceremony, graduates were presented with certificates, and the course leader affixed the emblem to the symbolic stump, marking the official completion of the course.
The event concluded with a ceremonial march, as the graduates paraded in front of the grandstand, accompanied by a military band.
