Azerbaijan and Spain sign MoU to strengthen economic partnership

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, met with María Amparo López Senovilla, Spain’s Secretary of State for Trade, to explore new opportunities for economic cooperation between the two nations.

The meeting highlighted the significance of today’s Azerbaijan–Spain Business Forum and the first-ever Strategic Economic Dialogue, both key platforms for fostering stronger ties between the business communities of both countries.

Minister Jabbarov reiterated Azerbaijan’s commitment to expanding its economic partnership with Spain, emphasizing the importance of ongoing dialogue and collaboration. Both sides discussed how the newly established Strategic Economic Dialogue could help businesses, boost trade, and enhance overall economic engagement.

As a major milestone, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy and Spain’s Ministry of Economy, Commerce, and Business signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Strategic Economic Cooperation.

The agreement is set to diversify economic collaboration, strengthen bilateral business relations, attract investment, and encourage technology transfer, expertise exchange, and joint initiatives, further deepening economic ties between Azerbaijan and Spain.
