Meeting held with the Azerbaijani Community in Morocco

Fuad Muradov, Chairman of the State Committee for Diaspora Affairs, met with the Azerbaijani community and members of the Moroccan-Azerbaijani Friendship Association in Rabat, Morocco. The gathering began with the national anthems of both countries and a tribute to Azerbaijanis who sacrificed their lives for the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

During the meeting, Chairman Muradov stated, "Our state's diaspora policy has been enriched with new criteria under President Ilham Aliyev's leadership, and relations with Azerbaijanis living abroad have become even more intense."

Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Morocco, Nazim Samadov, noted that friendly relations between the two countries have strengthened, with the Azerbaijani community in Morocco making significant contributions.

Mohamed Fakiri, President of the Morocco-Azerbaijan Friendship Association, expressed gratitude for the meeting and confidence that ties between the association and the Azerbaijani community would continue to deepen.

The Committee presented information about its various initiatives, including Azerbaijani houses abroad, coordination councils, and weekend schools. Video clips featuring President Aliyev's speeches on the Karabakh victory were also shown.

Moroccan students who had studied in Azerbaijan appreciated the meeting and expressed willingness to further contribute to state-community relations. They thanked the Azerbaijani government for its attention to the Moroccan community and offered suggestions for strengthening diaspora activities and sharing Azerbaijani perspectives with local communities.

In recent years, the State Committee has expanded its community meetings in foreign countries, making valuable contributions to diaspora development. Following the meeting, an iftar dinner was organized by the Committee in collaboration with the Azerbaijani Embassy in Morocco.
