S. Korea says ‘warning shots’ fired after N. Korean soldiers crossed border

South Korea's military said it "fired warning shots" after soldiers from North Korea “briefly crossed” the border on Tuesday, AzVision.az reports, citing Anadolu Agency.

According to South Korea Joint Chiefs of Staff, about 10 North Korean soldiers crossed south of the Military Demarcation Line (MDL) … and then moved north.”

The incident was reported at around 5 p.m. (0800GMT) on the eastern front of the MDL, which divides the Korean Peninsula.
