As part of the intercultural roundtable at the prestigious Sociëteit De Witte club—a prominent venue in Dutch social life—The Hague hosted a presentation titled "Bridge Between Cultures: Azerbaijan."
Azerbaijani Ambassador to the Netherlands, Mammad Ahmadzade, delivered a speech on “Azerbaijan’s Model of Multiculturalism.” He discussed the historical roots of multiculturalism in Azerbaijan and emphasized the country’s contemporary climate of tolerance and diversity. The ambassador also noted that Armenia has attempted to mislead Western public opinion by portraying the former Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict as a religious one.
Emin Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of "Azerkhalcha" OJSC, spoke about the rich heritage of Azerbaijani carpet weaving and ongoing efforts to promote it internationally. As a token of appreciation, he presented the book “Azerbaijani Carpet” by People's Artist of Azerbaijan Latif Karimov to Mauro Boero, head of the club's intercultural roundtable.
The event also featured a demonstration of traditional carpet weaving techniques and included master classes for the participants.
