President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order pardoning a group of convicts.
According to the order, a total of 175 individuals have had the remaining terms of their prison sentences eliminated, while 25 offenders have had half of their unserved sentences reduced. Additionally, one person whose prison term was conditionally applied and two individuals whose sentences had been postponed were also pardoned.
Furthermore, the remaining portions of the sentences of ten individuals subjected to restricted freedom have been commuted, and the sentences of two others in the same category were reduced by half. One person fined and four individuals sentenced to correctional labor have all been released from their sentences.
