The meeting was held at the U.S. Embassy, following which the parties held a joint press conference, AzVision.az reports citing Haberturk.
Davutoglu emphasized the strategic partnership between Turkey and the United States, noting that the cooperation between the two countries in recent years has risen to a new level.
Referring to the events in Syria, the head of the Turkish diplomacy said that Ankara and Washington are close on this issue and both countries have made every effort to attract representatives of all Syrian opposition groups to participate in this meeting in Paris.
In turn, John Kerry praised Ankara`s position on the Syrian issue, noting that it is important not only in the issue of Syria but also in the events around Iraq.
The secretary of state also expressed satisfaction with the steps of Ankara in Iran`s nuclear program.
According to reports of the Turkish media, Davutoglu and Kerry didn`t touch upon the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict at the meeting.
