Command and staff drills kick off in Azerbaijan
Command and staff drills kicked off in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Oct. 5.

Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry said the drills are being held with participation of the Detached All-Arms Army.

During the drills the staffs’ ability to manage the battle activities of all types of armed forces will be checked.

The drills are stipulated as a continuation of operational tasks earlier performed during the command and staff drills on Sept. 6-13.

Along with working out the drills tasks, it is planned to control troops in difficult operation conditions, coordinate staffs at various levels, and organize and check the military service.

The drills, which are being held under the Plan of Training of Armed Forces, approved by Azerbaijan’s President, Supreme Commander in Chief Ilham Aliyev, will continue until Oct. 8.
