Lula da Silva to run for president in 2026 Brazilian election

Lula da Silva to run for president in 2026 Brazilian election

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has announced his decision to run for president in the 2026 election, AzVision.az reports, citing TASS.

"I will be 80 years old, but rest assured that I have the same energy as when I was 30. I will run for a fourth [presidential] term," he said during a state visit to Indonesia.

Brazil's presidential election will be held in October 2026.
