Greek ambassador concludes his diplomatic tenure in Azerbaijan

Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister, met with Christos Capodistrias, the outgoing Ambassador of Greece to the country, as he concludes his diplomatic mission in the country.

During the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov hailed Ambassador Capodistrias 's services in the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Greece, expressing his gratitude and wishing him success in his future endeavors.

During the meeting, the sides lauded the dynamics of recent bilateral relations between their two countries, highlighting the importance of meetings between President Ilham Aliyev and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, including one in November 2024 at the COP29 Summit in Baku and another in September 2025 at the UN General Assembly in New York.

They emphasized the importance of continued political dialogue between two countries in advancing bilateral relations, and highlighted broad potential for further enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors, including economy, trade, investments, energy, transport, tourism, education, and culture.

Ambassador Christos Capodistrias underlined that he would always cherish his mission as the Ambassador of Greek to Azerbaijan, expressing gratitude for the support he had received during his tenure.

During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual concern.
