The special edition of the World of Diplomacy journal is a great opportunity for the COP29 Presidency to represent the outcomes of the COP29 and the Presidency’s vision for further development of the climate agenda, said Mukhtar Babayev, Representative of the Azerbaijani President on Climate Issues, COP29 President, during the presentation of the special edition of the World of Diplomacy journal.
According to him, the success of COP29 is in Azerbaijan’s important vision, the country’s spirit and legacy that it brings to the international climate discussions.
“Under the leadership of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the COP29 was organized in the beginning of 2024. Our main vision was to build a bridge between the countries, and I think we have successfully performed this very important mission, important task,” he mentioned.
Noting that Azerbaijan communicated with different countries, different parties, and in 2024, especially, during the preparations for COP29, Mukhtar Babayev emphasized that this approach helped to achieve more inclusive and balanced outcomes.
