BTK Completion will be key priority next year: Georgian minister

"Our goal is to make 2026 better than 2025, with high economic growth ensured alongside other achievements," Georgia's Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, said, outlining forecasts for the coming year.

According to the minister, the main priorities for 2026 remain the creation of new jobs, reduction of poverty, and improvement of the population's welfare.

In addition, a number of historic projects will be launched or continued, including the completion of the highly important Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway for the region and the transition to the active construction phase of the Anaklia deep-sea port.

"We will also pay great attention to the further development of the country's energy sector, as this year we have implemented a series of important initiatives aimed at revitalizing the sector," the minister added.
