A light single-engine helicopter with five people on board has gone missing in Indonesia, a Basarnas search and rescue agency official told local media Monday.

The Eurocopter EC130, operated by the Penerbangan Angkasa Semesta, lost contact with the North Sumatra province air traffic control about an hour ahead of its scheduled landing at a local airport.

In August, a Trigana Air Service aircraft with 54 people, including five children, on board disappeared over eastern Papua province after losing contact with air traffic control. Basarnas reached the remote crash site and recovered the bodies a week later.
