Aynur Sofiyeva thinks, it will be easy to work with vulnerable children and prosecute their parents, if needed, after the shelters starts to function.
Deputy head of the Committee deems the establishment of such centers very important, as after launch of proper services it will be possible to bring vulnerable children to these centers and deeply investigate the case: `After children are provided with shelters we can deal with their problems within several days”.
If these children have parents they will be returned home, if not most probably we will take them to an orphanage. Thus parents will not be able to dodge the prosecution..
Several years ago we conducted a research with UNICEF on vulnerable children in Azerbaijan and we are going to launch another research project next year, she added.
State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs will achieve the adoption of relevant legislature to compel parents to assume responsibilities.
According to legislature, parents may face legal proceedings if they leave their children without control or push them to a street life.
