The Minister spoke about the activities aiming the development of armed forces, noting that the liberation of Azerbaijani lands is a major challenge facing the army. Zakir Hasanov stressed that the Azerbaijani army is ready and able to fulfill this sacred duty. “The steps aimed at improving the military capabilities of the country are visible. The Azerbaijani Army is equipped with modern military equipment," he said.
According to him, today, the army acquires modern weapons and military equipment as well as constructs new military camps. By the end of the year new military units will be built in different regions. The goal is to provide modern conditions for the service of soldiers and officers. Z.Gasanov stressed that the development of the military construction is one of the priority areas of the country.
"High-ranking officers, first of all, should serve as an example to others for their knowledge of military affairs, discipline, actions and behavior. They should be able to mobilize personnel for the successful solution of the most important tasks. Be ready to prevent any occurrence at any time. Take preventive measures in time using the people`s confidence, power. Organize patriotic events.
"Serious attention should be given to build relationships between society and the army. In this area, first of all the responsibility falls on the officers. Each soldier must be aware of their duty to their country. Our nation relies on the armed forces, the soldiers are ready to fight with the enemy, and they will have their say."
