`Azerbaijan-Georgia strategic cooperation developing from day to day `
The strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia is increasingly developing from day to day, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov told reporters Oct.19.

Mammadyarov made the remarks following the meeting with his Georgian counterpart Giorgi Kvirikashvili.

The FM said both countries adhere to a common position in international organizations.

“We had negotiations on the energy sector and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway,” Mammadyarov said.

This is a major transport corridor, the FM said, noting that as Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated, Azerbaijan and Georgia should soon present the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project to the world. “The part of the railway passing through Georgia’s territory is already ready. We hope Turkey will soon complete the construction of the railway passing through its territory,” he said.
