In his interview, the Ambassador highlighted Azerbaijani-Pakistani relations as well as Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the country`s development, particularly in the field of education and science.
"Pakistan was one of the first countries to recognize Azerbaijan`s independence. Relations in the political, economic and humanitarian field developed." the ambassador stressed. Mr. Shikarov also highlighted the support of Pakistan to just position of Azerbaijan in Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. "Pakistan does not recognize Armenia as a state because of its policy of aggression," the diplomat said.
The ambassador provided an insight into economic development of Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
Mr. Shikarov highlighted large-scale projects carried out in the country, and called on Pakistani entrepreneurs to invest in Azerbaijan.
