Georgian Defense Minister Tina Khidasheli in turn spoke about Georgia-NATO relations and the steps taken in this direction.
NATO Secretary General`s Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai and other NATO officials are attending the event.
The conference focuses on the developments in Eastern Europe, Middle East and Syria, fight against Islamic State, expansion of anti-terrorist operations, ways of preventing new conflicts on the territory of NATO and partners.
During discussions that will continue till Oct.27, member of the Azerbaijani delegation is scheduled to give a lecture on the fight against Islamic State.
The conference which brought together 350 delegates from 15 countries has been initiated by the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS), Ministry of Defense of Georgia and Slovak Center for Strategic Studies in NATO.
