She said Italy attaches particular emphasis to healthcare cooperation with Azerbaijan. Ms Lorenzin also thanked the Azerbaijani minister for attending the event.
The two ministers signed a plan of action for 2016-2018 between the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Health of Italy.
Chaired by Minister Lorenzin, “Feeding the planet, feeding it healthy” meeting was attended by ministers of health, delegations from countries around the world.
Speakers at the event included members of the Italian parliament, UN and EU representatives for health, agriculture and food safety.

Italian minister of health Beatrice Lorenzin has said her country seeks cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of healthcare as she met her Azerbaijani counterpart Oqtay Shiraliyev on the sidelines of "Feeding the planet, feeding it healthy", a high-level international meeting on the issues of nutrition organized by the Italian Ministry of Health as part of Milan-Expo 2015 exhibition.
