Azerbaijan is ready for elections - Central election Commisssion
Azerbaijan has created all the necessary conditions for voting of more than five million voters in the upcoming parliamentary election November 1, the chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov said Oct. 31 at a press conference.

He said that preparation for the election was conducted in accordance with the schedule. “All the work was carried out on time,” Panahov said. “All the necessary conditions have been created for more than five million people to vote tomorrow.”

He went on to add that 767 candidates have been registered on 125 constituencies. “Each constituency accounts for approximately six candidates,” Panahov said. “Voters have a wide choice.”

The Central Election Commission chairman said that 15 political parties will directly take part in the election, while 7 parties will participate within the Azadlıq-2015 bloc. “This is an indication of intense interest of both citizens and political parties in the election,” Panahov said.

Azerbaijan will hold parliamentary election Nov.1, with participation of 767 candidates.

As many as 501 observers from 40 international structures have been accredited in the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan for observing the parliamentary election. In total, the missions representing 53 countries will observe the election.
