Wreck of cargo ship El Faro found

Wreck of cargo ship El Faro found

A vessel believed to be the cargo ship El Faro, which went missing during Hurricane Joaquin on October 1 with 33 crew members on board , has been discovered using high-tech sonar equipment by the National Transportation Safety Board.

According to the federal agency the wreckage is buried 15,000 feet the surface. The identity of the 79-foot vessel will be confirmed by sending down a remotely operated deep ocean vehicle.
