Azerbaijanis hold mass protests in Iran - PHOTOS
Mass protests of Azerbaijanis have been sparked in many Iranian cities, AzVision.az reports citing to oyannews.com. Protests were against insulting Azerbaijanis on the Iranian TV channel "Kanal 2".
Demonstrations were held in Tabriz, Urmia, Ardabil, Zanjan, Meshkin cities, as well as in capital Tehran. Protesters chanted "We are the Turks," "Death to racism", "Long live Azerbaijan", etc.

Clashes were reported between protesters and police. There are detainees. In Tabriz police used tear gas to disperse the demonstrators.

The TV channel "Sahar" announced that broadcasting of TV program, which sounded insults, was suspended and creative staff were punished.
