In the meeting, conducted with the aim of developing bilateral ties in the oil sphere it was discussed relations between the two countries as well as the similarities in both national cultures. Labardini Ambassador said that oil and gas are natural ties that bind Mexico with Azerbaijan. The exchange of experience in that area will serve its development and the benefit of our countries.
The Vice-President Nasirov informed about the activity of SOCAR, its projects and investments in foreign countries. He also addressed the history of oil extraction in Azerbaijan.
The sides expressed mutual interest in possible cooperation between oil companies of Mexico (Pemex) and Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
