Restoring internal border controls in France will not affect Schengen visas
Restoration of internal border controls in France will not affect those entering the country using Schengen visa procedures, the French Embassy in Baku told on Nov. 10.
France will restore internal border controls because of the COP21 international conference on climate change to be held in Paris, according to the embassy. However, the French Consulate will continue to issue visas as normal, the embassy said

Earlier, some media reported that France suspended issuance of Schengen visas for one month.

Paris will host the UN COP21 conference on climate change from November 30 to December 11. Universal agreements meant to determine countries’ transitions to low-carbon economies capable of withstanding climate change should be made at the conference. As many as 195 countries and the European Union will take part in the conference.
