OPEC: Azerbaijan will cut oil export

OPEC: Azerbaijan will cut oil export

OPEC states the reduction of oil export from Azerbaijan in 2015, particularly, due to competition for Azeri Light.

The organization believes that Azeri oil supplies will drop 10,000 barrels daily as compared to 2014.

"Reduction is expected though oil output from key Azerbaijani fields Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli grew 4% in January-September to the same period of 2014," the OPEC documents state.

OPEC says Azeri Light sales face difficulties in the end of 2015, particularly, due to a great proposal of alternative oil brands from Middle East.
