Azerbaijan in a short period managed to become not only the most dynamic country in the region, but was able to invest in other countries.
Azerbaijan, which is an exporter of investments, plans to increase investments in Turkey to $ 20 billion until 2018.
Investing in a number of countries and the revenues obtained from these investments allow Azerbaijan to further intensify its investments in other countries, which is an important factor.
Azerbaijan is also an important player in the global energy market today.
The geographical location of Azerbaijan allows it to become a transit country for a number of energy projects. Their implementation is only a matter of time.
The countries willing to export gas to Europe focus on the TANAP project, being implemented by Azerbaijan.
Among these countries are Iran and Iraq, which will fail to avoid the Azerbaijani TANAP project in case of exporting gas to Europe.
One can say that Azerbaijan`s participation in the G20 summit, to be held in the Turkish province of Antalya, is not fortuitous. This is Ankara’s friendly gesture towards Baku.
Turkey will spend about $1 billion euro to hold the G20 summit. It means that Ankara was thoroughly prepared for this event.
The security measures were strengthened in Antalya as part of the preparation for the summit. The raids were held against the radicals in this province. The security will be ensured by more than 12,000 policemen during the summit.
Selection of Antalya province for the summit is no coincidence, because it is one of the developed provinces of Turkey.
It is expected that the income of the province from the summit will be more than 200 million euros.
Regarding the main topics to be discussed at the G20 summit, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said earlier that the crisis in Syria and Iraq, the fight against global terrorism and the fate of Syrian refugees will also be discussed along with energy issues.
Currently there are more than two million refugees in Turkey, and Ankara has spent more than $8.5 billion on their keeping.
President Erdogan in an interview with CNN said that countries with much higher gross national product than Turkey closed their doors to refugees.
“They said “Let them drown in the Aegean and Mediterranean Sea”,” said Erdogan. “What if these 2.2 million refugees in Turkey move to Europe?”
Indeed, the issue of Syrian refugees is currently one of the highest priority problems, which is waiting for its speedy settlement.
But world powers, along with the problem of Syrian refugees, also have to think hard to solve the problem of refugees in general.
One can say that namely as a result of the double standards applied by world powers, a number of problems still cannot find its solution. One of these problems is, of course, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
More than one million Azerbaijanis became refugees and IDPs as a result of the Armenian occupation.
It turns out that only when refugees become a threat for European countries, they start thinking about solving the problem. This is another proof of double standards.
European countries have no experience of working with refugees, and in this matter, by the way, one can benefit from the experience of Azerbaijan.
Given all this, one can say that the G20 summit is an ideal opportunity to explore the Azerbaijani model of development.
