Representatives of 15 US companies operating in the spheres of construction, energy, ICT, chemistry, food industry, education, engineering, fire protection technology, pharmaceuticals, aviation, transport and etc. will participate in the event organized by AZPROMO and Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy and Industry.
Azerbaijan is a very important trading partner for US enterprises, the US-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC) said citing Deputy Assistant of the US Secretary of Commerce Michael Lally.
Lally said during his visit to Baku, he saw great potential for bilateral cooperation in trade sphere.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the US has increased by 5.3 percent per annum and stood at $935.28 million as of Jan.-Sept. 2015, according to Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee.
The import of US goods to Azerbaijan has increased by 53.5 percent, while the export of Azerbaijani products to this country has decreased by 1.71 times.
