He made the remarks commenting on the increase cases of abuse by media outlets.
Hasanov said freedom of speech and information as well as everyone’s right to independently obtain, prepare and spread information is fully ensured in Azerbaijan, noting that media outlets prepare and disseminate plenty of information, commentaries and analyses about Azerbaijan’s domestic and foreign policy, different areas of social life as well as developments around the world.
He went on to add that freedom of speech and expression is an integral part of the civil society building in Azerbaijan and efforts to strengthen the independence of media outlets in the country will further continue.
