Spokesman for Prosecutor General`s Office Eldar Sultanov told that the Prosecutor General`s Office has launched a criminal case on armed incident resulting in death in Nardaran settlement. “Prosecutor General`s Office is not going to negotiate with the armed extremist criminal gang,” he said.
Sultanov noted that investigative operational group created by the Grave Crimes Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General`s Office is carrying out urgent investigative-operational measures to determine and bring to justice all the perpetrators of the incident and those assisting this armed criminal gang.
Chairman of the Council of Elders of Nardaran settlement, Mashadi Natig Karimov told APA that villagers of Nardaran are going to conduct talks with representatives of law enforcement agencies: “We decided to meet with the police and prosecuting officers to discuss the situation. The meeting will be held in the coming hours. The residents of Nardaran are being provoked. We are against exaggerating the problem. Nardaran residents never acted and will never act against the state,” he said.
Mashadi Natig Karimov added that the bodies of those died in yesterday’s shootout haven’t been handed over to their families yet.
