“We remember the support and assistance Azerbaijan has rendered to Belarus in the difficult time,” the Belarusian president said, expressing gratitude to his Azerbaijani counterpart for the support and assistance.
The Belarusian president wished the Azerbaijani people success. “I wish the Azerbaijani people to overcome all difficulties,” he added. “And don’t forget that you have friends here!”.
Lukashenko noted that despite hard economic times, the two countries maintained the same level of trade turnover. “We have laid a good foundation for the relations,” he said.
He added that there is no any tension or closed topic between Belarus and Azerbaijan. “If someone doesn’t like it, that’s their problem,” the president noted.
Lukashenko called President Aliyev a friend of himself and the Belarus people.
