Leyla Yunus detained
Chairperson of the Institute for Peace and Democracy, human rights defender Leyla Yunus has been detained, her husband Arif Yunus told APA.

He said that Leyla Yunus was detained by unknown persons while going to an event today.

“A car stopped near her at 11:45 while she was going to an event. She was made to sit in the back seat, two of them sat next to her and one next to the driver and car moved. Currently, her cell phone is out of service,” he said.

Arif Yunus also said that law enforces are now knocking on the door of their apartment.
