7.1-magnitude quake hits Southeast Indian Ridge

7.1-magnitude quake hits Southeast Indian Ridge

An earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale jolted Southeast Indian Ridge at 22:24:55 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 47.6429 degrees south latitude and 85.0934 degrees east longitude.
