Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry has made a statement strongly condemning the video clip showing a distorted map of Azerbaijan on Russia’s TV channel LifeNews.
According to the statement, the Azerbaijani embassy in Russia will take necessary actions regarding the matter.
“We strongly condemn the distorted presentation of the internationally recognized borders of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This is in the first place an example of the channel’s disrespect for international law, and is unfair and unprofessional,” said the statement.
LifeNews has previously stood out with a tendentious stance against Azerbaijan. That may be due to the administration’s grudge and being under the influence of Armenia’s lobbyist circles,” said the statement.
LifeNews channel screened a video clip on Saturday showing a distorted map of Azerbaijan. The director general of the TV channel is Ashot Gabrielyanov.
