The searches conducted with the involvement of vessels haven’t yet yielded results. Helicopters joined the searches early today. The fire on the platform still continues.
A strong fire took place at the platform No.10 of Azerbaijan’s offshore Gunashli field on Dec.4 at 17:40 (UTC/GMT +4 hours). The fire on the platform was caused by the windstorm, which damaged a gas line.
There were 63 workers when the fire broke out on the platform. 2 people died. 29 people are listed as missing. Dead bodies of six oil workers were found yesterday. They will be buried today.
