Azerbaijan may suspend search for missing oilmen in Caspian Sea

Azerbaijan may suspend search for missing oilmen in Caspian Sea

Azerbaijan may suspend the search for the 23 oilmen missing after the fire at SOCAR`s offshore field, Balamirza Agharahimov, chief engineer at Azneft production union, said at the briefing.

He noted that the search with the involvement of vessels may be suspended due to weather conditions.

“The continuation of the search via helicopters will be decided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations. A working schedule on the platforms will depend on the windspeed," he added.
