BOTAS former top officials stands trial on Shahdeniz
21 top officials of Turkish BOTAS Company accused of committing offences during the holding of three tenders including Shahdeniz stood trial.
APA reports quoting Anadolu agency that the tenders were related to construction of Erdahan (Hanak) Compressor station over the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipeline and Turkgozu Gas Measuring Centre.

The accused persons include former members of BOTAS Board of Directors. The hearing was attended by 15 accused persons and their lawyers.

Former member of BOTAS Board of Directors Salih Pashaoglu said they did not commit any offences in the tender and asked acquittal for himself.

Other persons also asked acquittal.

The lawyers asked time to prepare defence speech. Therefore, the court was postponed.
