Armenian Cabinet not determined on date to approve Eurasian Union treaty
Asked whether the issue will be included on the agenda in August, Davit Harutyunyan said “it will depend on discussions in the government”.
Harutyunyan, the government Chief of Staff-Minister, said the date is not directly linked to approval of the Russian Cabinet.
On 14 August, the Russian government submitted a proposal to approve Armenia`s membership to the Eurasian Economic Union to President Putin. The treaty on Armenia`s accession to the Union was prepared by the Eurasian Economic Commission together with the authorities of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia.
