US Former Police Officer Convicted of Sexually Assaulting 13 Black Women
Former Oklahoma City police officer Daniel Holtzclaw was found guilty of rape and sexual assaults against 13 black women while on duty, local media reported Friday.
According to reports, a jury found Holtzclaw, who is half-white and half-Japanese man, guilty on 18 of the 36 charges he faced, which included rape, burglary and stalking.

The media outlets said that the jury had recommended to imprison Holtzclaw for 263 years. He did not admit guilty.

"Daniel was not denying having contact with these women while doing his job, but was denying that he exploited them," Daniel Holtzclaw`s attorney said as quoted by the CBS News.

The racial dimension of the case brought new attention to a problem of the sexual abuses, conducted by law enforcement officers in the United States, according to media reports.
