Five experienced firefighters from the ship "Vikhr-5" of Azerbaijan’s Emergency Situations Ministry with special equipment and means have landed on the burning platform #10 in the Caspian Sea, the ministry told.
The firefighters, who landed on the platform on Dec.10 at 15:35 (GMT +4), within six hours, ensured the safety of emergency-restoration work carried out by SOCAR’s workers around the burning wells.
Four firefighters from the ship “Vikhr-5” were involved in the burning platform today at 9:00 (GMT +4) to provide the safety of work underway and organize the protection and evacuation of workers in case of danger.
The emergency situations ministry is uninterruptedly continuing fire-fighting work on the platform.
