Georgian, Turkish Presidents discuss acceleration of BTK project
President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili has held a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan within the visit to Turkmenistan.
The two presidents discussed topical issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation including the acceleration of the railway project Baku-Tbilisi-Kars, increasing the capacity of the transport corridor East-West and new transportation perspectives of Caspian energy resources.

Georgian president has noted his thoughts with a colleague on the expansion of cooperation between Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.

According to the Georgian presidential administration, the two sides also discussed the issues of regional security.

Turkish President expressed his support for the territorial integrity of Georgia and condemned Russia for the execution of contracts with so-called regimes of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali.
